Tom is a proud Terp, graduating from University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism in 2012. While at UMD, he interned for the Washington bureau of NBC News and WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., and his reporting for UMD's CNS-TV gained national recognition.

Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Tom spent part of his childhood in England. He also studied in Barcelona, Spain, and is fluent in Spanish. His love of languages and travel fits perfectly in a career that doesn't feel like work - every day is a privilege getting to know amazing new people and places, and being able to share stories that matter to the community.
